Bar Code Tattoo (last part) spoiler alert!!

Yes, I did a blog on this already but The Bar code tattoo is probably the best book I will ever read. Kayla, as you know,  ran away from Zelek and Nedra, thank god, and now she is with Eutonah. Eutonah was a girl that was apart of the decode relationship. Sadly the decode's were separated. Some people got caught or ran away. Mfumbe got in prison from stealing a thermometer from a store. Dumb mistake! Kayla had to run for her life that day. The police almost got her but she quickly got into the woods and she met Eutonah. Living there with her Kayla has to be very careful of who she trusts. Amber is Kayla's friend that has a barcode. Kayla is wanted, but she doesn't know that when she emails to Amber it will track down where Kayla is. To email without a computer there is a post man. Messages are sent from post man to post man. Luckily it gets to Amber just in time.

All in all we don't know what comes next. We just hope that Kayla will be safe and sound. Good luck!!

Barcode Tattoo

For my book club book I am reading the Bar-code Tattoo. It is not the fairytale book that you would want to read. Its different its sci-fi. Kayla is the main character. This takes place in 2025. Now, I know that 2025 is a long time from now but we still have to dream it and create it. I cannot even think what will happen in 2025. But at least time is slow!! Kayla's father died. Not so happy moment. HE committed suicide in their bathroom. It was because of the bar-code. Kayla doesn't know why this happened. She doesn't have a bar-code tattoo. She is never going to get one. Almost everyone at her high school have one. But there is one group that is against it. They are called the decodes. No difference. Its really sad because now the doctors are injecting the bar-code tattoos on the new born babies foots! This sounds to depressing. If you like sci-fi than you can read it. But I've been getting long time nightmares so its up to you! This is my post for Sunday!

Little White Duck

I recently read a graphic novel on a girl from China that noticed that the world isn't one big happy world. There a kids starving. Or children with no water to bath them in. Its a very touching novel that puts you in a timeline of life were you thought of everything being normal. The main character Liu Na. But her given name is Da Qin which translates to big piano. She has a little sister named xiao qin which means little piano. This school day is pretty sad. Its the day that yen yen (grandpa) dies. Da qin doesn't know who it is but she thinks its her actual grandfather. Everyone cries that day. No smiling no laughing echos down the streets just left memories of her yen yen.

Later in the book Da qin goes to her fathers childhood town to visit her evil grandma. From her point of view grandma doesn't look nice. She's mean and grumpy.Nothing happy is happening in this town just children playing with dirt. Before the trip Da qin put a very nice jacket on that had a soft little white duck imprinted on it. Sadly her cousins in her fathers town ruined it buy spreading the dirt all over the duck. Now she feels diapponted because her jacket is filthy. She found out that her cousins cannot read but what she learned is how fast she an get dirty!

All in all Da qin his still alive. She lives in Brooklyn with her daughter and husband. Shes happy as anyone can be. I would recommend this book to people that enjoy graphic novels. Habe a great SUNDAY!

Pretty Little Liars
Pretty little Liars is preferably the best mystery book I ever read. It's about four girls unfolding the texts messages from their "dead" friend. Aria, Spencer, Emily, and Hanna are the main characters that have four different lives but A keeps on destroying them. Alison is the girl who was murdered buried in the back of her yard. Each time the girls make a friend, A takes it away from them.

It's life that goes through these girls. Parents divorcing, people dying, meeting new friends along the way. It's a small town in Pennsylvania. Alison used to be the well known girl in high school. Aria would be next to her. Hanna changed completely. From being a nerd to being the popular girl. Spencer is the one who is smart and intelligent and usually gets the good grades. Then there is Emily. All ready A decides to kill two of her lovers. Even Nate who was supposed to be Emily's friend but had the option on deciding to invite Emily away from Roosevelt and kill her. Luckily Emily saves her life by running away. It's a huge thing but the Pretty Little Liars will always be undead.

There is no all in all. Every book is a new beginning, a new A. I recommend that you don't read this at night it will scare the creeps out of you. Pretty Little Liars ROCKS!!

Hurricane Song

Hurricane Song is written by Paul Volph. It's a story about a current even that happened and destroyed people's lives. It takes place in New Orleans. Known for jazz and musicians. Miles, is the main character a.k.a protagonist. He starts off as a hard headed stubborn teenager like the ,rest of us, but then he unfolds himself to his connection with Pops. Pops is Miles father. They both were in Hurricane Katrina. Katrina wasn't a joke. Imagine putting a huge population of people that don't have enough money to go somewhere else, in a super-dome! It isn't easy at all. There was no food! And no showers! The bathroom was all clogged up because of the users of the bathroom. There wasn't even paper towels! It was disgusting! People had to do their business on the walls! But that didn't keep Miles and Pops apart, it was that trumpet that symbolized their relationship.

At the very beginning Pops wasn't a good father to Miles. Miles parents are divorced so his mother lives in Chicago and his father lives in New Orleans. The  trumpet was Pops idol. He never let it out of site. Pops is obsessed with music. Instead of getting what Miles wanted for his birthday, which was a basketball, he gave him drums! Clearly Pops doesn't listen to what Miles thinks. Having the hurricane gave problems. In the super done there were people who would jump off the bleachers like Cyrus which whom was a crazy man. And shooting noises. It was hard. People were sick if smelling bad and having empty stomached so Miles and Pops left. Walking away from the stadium was scary. There were shooting noises and there was a fight happening. So having the trumpet in Pops hand he used it as his weapon to guard Miles from getting hurt. Now that is a total change to their relationship!

As the book was coming to the end not everything went so well. Pops had to start from scratch. They had nothing except each other. Miles became more connected with his father. His mother on the other hand wanted Miles to come home immediately. She hated the fact that the news was everywhere and she just wanted him home safely. But of course he couldn't leave his father behind. After what happened nothing would change there relationship, except marriage. The end was the end. Not of everything!

All in all I would recommend this book to readers that love stories and enjoy the emotions of what's happening inside the character. This is the end of Hurricane Song!

Just Listen/Olive's Ocean (For last weekend and this Sunday)

Coming to the end of Just Listen, Owen is Annabel's love. Well in music. Instead of having Sophie around Owen is there for her. Mallory (owen's sister) loves Annabel. I mean she is crazy for Annabel. Even her friends are loving Annabel. Annabel is a model and has appeared in a good sum of commercials. But there is competition around. She didn't get into an advertisement which her mother really truly wanted for Annabel. But she will try her best.

Whitney is doing much better with her eating disorder. Mrs. Greene (Annabel's mom) put Whitney in therapy. Whitney thinks that therapy is probably the worst thing there is on the planet. Her therapist is telling her to grow a plant and see it grow. it sound preetty dub to me even. Kristen is off in colllege doing what she enjoys. Mrs. Greene and Mr. Greene are spending there anniversary spendig a weekend on a vacation. All is going well.

Olive's Ocean is written by Kevin Henkes. The main character isn't Olive, its Martha Boyle. Martha was in Olive Bastrow's class. Olive was a quiet girl. She didn't have a lot of friends at the time. Olive was a new kid. She loved bike riding. But when anacciedent happens to Olive her family cries. Leaving a note from Olive's notebook states things about Martha and if they were both friends.

Its summer vacation, 1 week from Olive's note. Martha thinks that its all her fault. Its sad what happened to Olive. But she cannot fix it. She wonders what Olive thought in her head about her. As the summer goes on she learns lessons. And she sees that life isn't all about being blind by whats out there. She experiences some ups and downs but she knows that she would've taken Olive with her on this trip. I cannot tell you what happened to Olive because that would be a unfair to the readers that haven't read this fantastic book. All in all, you should read this!

JUST LISTEN (THE MIDDLE PART)

As you all know Just Listen is written by Sarah Dessen. It us about the protagonist named Annabel Greene. Having Whitney going through the treatment and Kristen off to college Annabe4l feels left out. Its not easy to be in the Greene family. Annabel's mom is already depressed (again)! Its going down hill faster and faster as the Greene family reaches their breaking point!

Annabel has no luck with Sophie anymore. They got into a fist fight and that was the end of their relationship. But now she found Owen. He loves music. Its like, to him, apart of his "life". He can't live without ii. Owen has his own station, even. He doesn't listen to pop music. He listens to a different genre than any other student would not know of. Then there is Molly, Owen's little sister. Molly met Annabel when Owen gave her a ride home. Turns out Molly is a fan of Annabel's work, even her friends. To Annabel its cool to have a fan.

Their is an ending I may not  tell. But it does go very well. Not all stories are happy endings. Somenone or something has to end. Its life!

JUST LISTEN

Just Listen is written by the New York Times bestseller author, Sarah Dessen. Annabel Greene is the character that takes place of this time. She has two older sisters, Whitney & Kristen. She has a depressed mother and an uptight father. Her family looks like a typical American family. But if you read closely in between the lines you'll see the truth.

Kristen is older and has her life with no boyfriend, Whitney is constantly not eating and losing ton of weight. There is a difference in Whitney's personality. She still lives with her parents and she isn't 18 yet. There is a lot going on in chapter 5. Most I cannot tell you about. Annabel has a friend named Sophie. They are best friends. At least they were. Sophie doesn't like Annabel. Clarke, Annabel's other friend, doesn't like Annabel either or talks to her. Its all hail down to Owen. I cannot tell you yet but Annabel is once again happy.

Most things you know and most you don't but there are endings. Whitney has an eating disorder and all they can do now is wait until she gets out of her treatment. Nothing is going right for this year. Hold on tight and buckle up for Annable's rollercoaster!

Forever In Blue

The Fourth Summer of Sisterhood

Ann Brashares is the author of all the Sisterhood novels. In her novels she writes about four different girls that are friends but have different life styles. There is Lena, she loves painting but there is one thing bothering her, Kostos. They meet in Greece and feel in love but something went wrong, which Lena does not want to deal with. Then there is Carmen, she goes off to college to fallow her dream, acting. A "friend", more likely a user to Carmen, acts to be her friend and gets into a lot of trouble. Bridget is another one. For the summer she goes to the coast of Turkey for a dig and finds that her professor is likely to be hers. Then There is Tibby. She stays inner hometown with her boyfriend, Ryan, but when something foes wrong, Tibby leaves him behind in wonder of him.

The book starts off with the welcome meeting. Its where all the girls come together and decide who gets the pants first and who gets it last. The pants are like a scrapbook but you wear them. The pants are  a symbol to the girls. Sadly, Carmen couldn't make it. It was only the four of them. It was the ned of the school year and they really wanted to have everyone there. None could make it. Bridget was leaving off to Turkey, Lena was going to an art class away from their hometown and Tibby was there alone. Carmen had some family business that she couldn't come at all. Maybe their friendship wont last after all.

I would recommend the series of novels to a reader that enjoys to have fun in their reading. A person that likes to read about conflicts that sometimes can put you in a position that you wouldn't want to be in. Each and ever book Ann creates has a lesson that the reader has to find out!

The Road Not Taken

by Robert Frost

The Road Not Taken is written by Robert Frost. Its a poem about different paths or roads that you take. In this poem he states these paths but there is a catch! They are both the same. Imagine being one traveler and that traveler is a metaphor for being your life. It does matter which road you take, both will put you in the same position as you were before.

Having Robert Frost's poem emblem as two same roads had a good thought. In stanza 4 it stated " Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet Knowing how many leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back." This states that he does have a choice in whether he wants the first or the second path. In stanza 3 it also said " Then I took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear" This states that the paths do have something different, but they always have a similarity. In stanza 2 it stated " Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both , And be one traveler, Long I stood, And looked down one as far as I could, To where it bent in the undergrowth."  This clearly states that these paths are the same. The closer he gets the closer he realizes that they are the same. You can't judge a book by its cover!

All in all, the claim was set. My claim connects to me personally because even though they have the same map or a same destination it always depends on one person. You, the traveler, the one who takes either side. You can always have bumps in the road but it always connects to you! Only you.............

Fallout (this is maybe the last)

Sadly Hunter got back with Nikki. Hunter takes advantage of Nikki. He sleeps at her house and he thinks that whatever happens, Nikki will always take Hunter back. Right now, Hunter is sleeping in Nikki's house but in here living room. Nikki doesn't talk to Hunter like they used to be before but its getting better. Thanksgiving arrived in the Haskins and they all had dinner together. Hunters "grandma, mom", hunters "grandpa. dad" and Nikki. No Kristina, she is still in Reno with her drug-addict father!

Autumn is fine. She just found out that Aunt Cora is getting married, which worries her. She will be left with her silent "grandpa" for the rest of his time being alive. Its sad but she still moves on. Something happened to her though, and you would hate to be her. She's (spoiler alert) pregnant!! There goes her life. She hasn't told anyone yet about it. Autumn isn't happy at all. What will happen? Summer had a nice Thanksgiving party with her foster home family. They go out usually to a burger joint and order thanksgiving meals. Its the routine they do every time. Everything is well, I guess.

We will see the outcome. It might end up good or bad. Its all for Kristina and her dating issues. She is in contact with her children but not enough. There are hidden stories in each and every child's path of commitment. What is next?

Fallout (the middle)

Fallout is written by Ellen Hopkins. As we left off at, you were meeting Hunter, Summer, and Autumn. All from different families and different last names. Of course it is the middle of the book and an issue has to occur. In each story of a character there is a difference but also a similarity. All of the children take drugs or smoke pot. There is always a bad influence, and that is the issue.

Hunter was adopted to his grandmother. Summer was adopted to another family. And Autumn is in foster care. Hunter has a usual life but he has a girlfriend that is not a good influence. Her name is Nikki. When reading the middle of the story, Nikki breaks up with Hunter. I thought that it was a good sign but sadly it wasn't. Nikki moved out of her apartment without him knowing. Summer has an okay life. She lives with her Aunt Cora and her grandpa. She has a her father in jail, again. And no mother. Autumn is probably, out of all three, is the depresses one. She describes her foster home with anger and frustration. It isn't a good balance for her.  All we know is that she has the most toughest role in the foster home.

As we are traveling closer and closer to the end, there will always be infernces and heartbreaks. From my point of view, Nikki and Hunter are done. Hunter doesn't realize it but there finished!

Fallout

Fallout is written by Ellen Hopkins. Fallout is an example of reading Crank. Everything that happens is related to Kristina and her father. As we left in Crank, Kristina had Hunter. Hunter was her first son, but there is more to Kristina than just Hunter. As you read Fallout there is a loophole in every single word of Kristina's children way of speaking.

Hunter. Autumn.Summer. They are Kristina's children. But they do not all live in the same environment nor have the last names. It is weird because of how Crank left us. There was only one baby that we were told.  Not three. Reading Fallout is only the beginning. Hunter is already taking drugs. It seems as if all of Kristina's children are all similar. When reading Fallout, Kristina left Hunter with her mom and dad. The reason why is that Hunter started calling them, mommy and daddy so they thought that it would be right if the parents adopted Hunter. As you can see it is loophole after another.

Fallout will have a extremly juicy ending. I would reccomend Fallout to readers that want to continue with Kristina's life of her children's point of view. All we know for now about Kristina is that she is still on drugs. Its depressing to be her.

Burned

Burned is written by Ellen Hopkins. In Burned you never know what will come. Its a story where you can hide or forgive. Readers will never forget the troubled times of Burned. Pattyn, is her name. She has 9 sisters. The reason why she has so many sisters, is because of her dad wanting a boy. From this point you think that the dad is silly for having all those babies because of just one thing. But having all those sisters put everyone to shame. Pattyn doesn't even know her dad. She sees him throughout her life but she doesn't know him as her father. its a weird connection.

Pattyn is a usual teenage girl but she is a Mormon. A Mormon is a member of a Saint church. Being a Mormon puts boundaries on Pattyn's life. She has to have a Mormon boyfriend or there will be death consequences. Her father is known as the king in their house. Whenever he gets drunk he hits Pattyn's mom. Pattyn has to keep all of the secrets inside their house because of the Mormon life. Pattyn has had enough of all of these secrets. What do you think will happen next?

Burned is an interesting book to read about. Ellen Hopkins is a great author and storyteller. I would recommend this book to Ellen Hopkins lovers. From reading all her books, each and every one speaks something different.

Identical........... part 2(I am spilling the beans)

Identical, as you know is written by Ellen Hopkins. I am so close to the ending. A lot has happened, which I may not tell you. Its confusing but fascinating to read. Ellen Hopkins explains both of the sides of the identical twins, or is she? Reading after 213 pages you somehow notice something strange. You never thought that this would happen!

Ranee and Raleigh are twin sisters. But, there was an accident. Not a switched at birth accident, a car accident. No one never knew what happened that day. But of course someone died. In an accident a life must be taken away. After all of these disasters, Raleigh questions herself, who am I? Whenever there is a question there is a mystery to be solved. Raleigh has a identity disorder. If you don't know what that means, I cannot tell you. But, this is messing up Raleigh's entire life!

All in all, I recommend this book to people that enjoy reading Ellen Hopkins mysterious lives. I really enjoy her books. Some are scary and some aren't. These are her adventures. I hope you'll enjoy!

Beautiful Boy

Beautiful boy is written by David Sheff. If you read Tweak by Nic Sheff there is a resemblance to them. In Tweak it was Nic's point of view. He told his untold life. In David's point of view, its about how he saw Nic grow up. David thought that Nic would still be that little boy that he always new. People change!

David is a father to Nic Sheff. In Beautiful Boy it talks about flashbacks of Nic. How he was so confident in himself. In the beginning Nic is coming home from college. His little brother and sister are really excited. They haven't seen Nic for so long. Its like a new beginning for those two. O f course Nic is tired from his plane trip but, he still reads a bedtime story for his siblings. I cannot tell you the rest of the story because it gives out information that you would want to read.

All in all, I would recommend this book to people that like to read point of view type of books. I reallly enjoyed Beautiful Boy you will too!

summary

IDENTICAL.......

Identical is written by Ellen Hopkins. The main characters are Ranee and Raleigh. Ranee and Raleigh are identical twins. Both twins have a difficulty with life. Even their home life isn't the best of both worlds. They do not have divorced parents but it feels like it to them. Being identical twins usually is hard ( for these twins). Some people, usually friends always mixes them up. Ranee and Raleigh in IDENTICAL both set their stories and opposite ends. They both have problems. What can expect for 2 teenage girls to do?

These girls have a mom that is ruing for Congress. Having a mom that is ruing for Congress isn't just easy. They have to go everywhere! For interviews, and events! Its crazy! Ranee nor Raleigh know their mom that well. They still love her but its hard to say I love and hear an I love you back. She's gone. It is rare to even have a sit down dinner. That's how fast she is. Having a Congress mom is leaving some blanks that's happening in Ranee and Raleigh's life. They found out that there is an actual grandma from their dad's side!! Its pretty interesting because their dad said that his mom had past away. Lies lies and even more lies!

Reading IDENTICAL by Ellen Hopkins is extremely interesting. You never know what is happening and you don't even see it! Its amazing! I would recommend this book to readers that prefer social issues!

Tweak..... the last part

As all of you readers know that Tweak and other books always end. They sometimes end and sometimes don't. It all depends on one person. THE AUTHOR! Nic Sheff, a young teenage boy was thrown out of his own calm, loved life by his decisions. It all rounds out to the decisions. Nic is a drug-addict boy. Starting pot and drugs at the age of 9 ruins your furture.

Nic Sheff is trying to get back on. Yes, he left Lauren ( Nic's  girlfriend) in dramatic way. Yes, Nic called his dad. Calling his dad didn't turn out like he thought. His dad didn't even say hello. He just stated that they were done with Nic's life. Its sad to hear that but it was the only thing that Mr. Sheff wanted to say. Mr.Sheff was angry about everything Nic has done. Remember, Nic stole a whole lot of money from his loved ones. Now, Nic ran away from the drug life in Presidio. He went back to his older brother. Nic's older brother gave him advice. To love life! And so Nic did.

Life is short. Nic Sheff is role model. Even though Nic started out shaky he ended up with a life were he had a home. He doesn't live in his car anymore. And he isn't tired from being tired. He has energy to love his life and to know that it was him who made his change!

Tweak  (own opinion)

(If you haven't read Tweak.. this is a spoiler alert!)
Tweak is written by Nic Sheff. Tweak is the memoir of Nic's life as a young teenage boy. He has been taking drugs since he was 12 years old. All of his childhood was surrounded by drugs and pot. Nothing healthy was there. He has a step-mom, a dad, and siblings. He has stolen a lot from his loved ones. Money was Nic's top priority. To get drugs he needed money. Drugs do not sell cheap! He suddenly meets a guy named Gank. I guess he is a drug dealer. Gank knows a lot of dealers. Like, Bullet. Bullet is a homeless youngster that has connection to drugs also.

Nic has ran away from his family. He has ran away from his life. Nic is a type of guy that cannot stop his habits. Whenever he has one drug he wants it over and over again. Just to put this into an example he has already stolen over 100 dollars from his cafe job. There is nothing new to Nic's life. When you take drugs you go into depression. Never have drugs!

All in all, I have not finished it yet. Tweak is a hard core book. I would recommend this to people that like to read about issues during teen life. This is my blog for this Sunday!!!
